Quick Start Guide

Introduction

This document provides the necessary steps to start using TakeOff: the application to build construction budgets based on BIM.

Authentication

To start using TakeOff, you need to log in to The Nimbus Sphere: the online application suite for managing construction projects based on the BIM methodology.

Authorization

Once logged in, access must be granted to resources from third-party services (such as plans and construction models). To do this:

• Go to the Authorization Manager in the Resource Manager.
• Identify the authorization group corresponding to the service where the resources you want to use are located.
• Click the button to grant a new authorization and follow the applicable instructions for the corresponding service.

• Once the authorization process is complete, a new authorization should appear in the authorization list within the Resource Manager.

Viewer Initialization

To initialize the viewer, you must select the authorization you wish to work with. This authorization can be selected from the Authorization Manager or directly from the TakeOff App.

From Authorization Manager

• Go to theAuthorization Manager in the Resource Manager.
• Identify the authorization you wish to use and, from the list of modules, click on TakeOff to be redirected to the application with the selected authorization.

From TakeOff

• Go to the TakeOff App.
• In the layer selector, select the authorization you wish to use or navigate to the Authorization Manager to create a new one.
